Koroga Member Fees Poll

The Koroga members fee poll is now closed.  

STATUS: IMPLEMENT

14 out of 16 Members have voted in favour of charging the upfront running costs for the whole year, which removes the need to collect money from non attendees on a month to month basis. With this outcome the club will now implement some form up upfront costs.

There were a few questions raised on what happens if we pay the upfront cost and then decide to leave, do we get the remainder of the money back ?  These questions  will be taken back to the members and discussed.

As a club, we face many obstacles to keep things operating smoothly. One of the main issues is keeping on top of finances to keep the club operating smoothly.

Currently we have a system where attendees to a Koroga event pays £25, which covers the rental of venue and food.  Non attendees pay a fixed fee of £15.

The £15 fee is to cover the cost of the hall and other expenses we face to operate.

The main obstacle here is collecting the £15 from each member and keeping tabs who has paid and not paid.

To overcome this it has been proposed that every member pay the upfront cost of £15 for each of the remaining months of 2022. This accounts to 10 months starting from March 2022 bringing the upfront cost to £150.

This will remove the need to chase people and reduce the amount of cash to be handled at the Koroga events. 

Each member would then just pay £10 for attending.

Expenses and other reimbursements will then simply be made by bank transfer or cash if enough is collected on the day.

As members we all need a vote on this movement. Please place your vote.
